She received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from Purdue University and my Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary. She has had the opportunity to work in and gain knowledge from a diverse collection of settings that include elementary, middle and high school, hospital chaplaincy , private practice and private agency working with families in the child welfare system. She has also facilitated a wide variety of therapeutic support groups ranging in topics from grief to ADHD management. Each of these settings have provided her with hands on experience working with individuals and families in crisis, as well as those who are faced with navigating some of life’s biggest challenges such as divorce, loss, and addiction.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Melissa love a systems approach, understanding that we do not exist in a vacuum, but rather are part of larger systems. She takes a non-judgmental, warm approach to therapy and believes in tailoring the therapy towards the individual needs of her clients. Together, you will establish goals and design a path towards a healthier way of being.
